AIGA Colorado Gala Event

The AIGA—the professional association for design—recognizes creative individuals as Fellows who have made a significant contribution to raising the standards of excellence in practice and conduct within their local or regional design community as well as in their local AIGA chapter. Every two years, AIGA Colorado hosts a gala event to honor two outstanding individuals. In 2013 we branded the event “Spark & Success,” based on character traits of the honorees. The design was executed in black and white with a splash of neon orange. We art directed the portraiture, instructing the subjects to wear black and white, then created an oversized diecut invitation mailed in an orange sleeve to stand out in the mail. The program was designed as individual pages so the sponsor page could be imprinted with the most current information just prior to the event. It was tied with a black ribbon and a letterpressed medallion that doubled as a coaster at the event.
